Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday claimed he “never refused” a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and invited him to come to Moscow, according to Russian state-owned news outlet Tass.

“If Zelenskyy is ready for a meeting, let him come to Moscow,” Putin said, according to a translation of the remarks issued from China, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for a military parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of World War II.

TRUMP CLAIMS PUTIN, XI, KIM ARE CONSPIRING AGAINST THE US AFTER MILITARY PARADE IN CHINA

Zelenskyy’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s questions, nor did the White House.

Though President Donald Trump told reporters from the Oval Office on Wednesday that he would be speaking with Putin “very shortly,” as his two-week deadline issued last month for the Kremlin chief to meet with Zelenskyy is now up.

“I’ll know pretty much what we’re going to be doing,” Trump told reporters. “We’ve taken very strong action. But I’ll be speaking to him over the next few days, and we’re going to see.

“I’m going to know exactly what’s happening,” he added.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha took to X and accused Putin of issuing “knowingly unacceptable proposals,” adding that seven nations have made known their readiness to host peace talks, including Austria, Vatican City, Switzerland, Turkey, and three Gulf states.

“These are serious proposals and President Zelenskyy is ready for such a meeting at any point of time. Yet, Putin continues to mess around,” he added.  “Only increased pressure can force Russia to finally get serious about peace process.”

IS PUTIN STRINGING TRUMP ALONG TO SIDESTEP US SANCTIONS WHILE BOMBING UKRAINE?

Zelenskyy has proposed face-to-face meetings with Putin on multiple occasions using a third-party neutral nation like Turkey, though the Kremlin chief has thus far never agreed to engage directly with the Ukrainian president.

Putin on Wednesday claimed that if a “meeting is well-prepared and will lead to some positive results,” then he would agree to meet. He also claimed Zelenskyy was “afraid” to meet with him, though he did not detail why he believed this.

Any possibility of Zelenskyy traveling to Russia appears highly unlikely given the threats he would face, and the fact that Putin has made clear his chief aim is to oust Zelenskyy from Kyiv.

Former CIA Moscow Station Chief Dan Hoffman echoed these security concerns and told Fox News Digital, “There’s no way that Zelenskyy should be traveling to Moscow.”

“Putin invaded Ukraine,” Hoffman said. “[Putin] is doing this to make it appear as if he will negotiate in good faith and try and drive a wedge between Zelenskyy and the United States, as well as Zelenskyy and Europe.”

  • Study debunks Gaza genocide claims against Israel in ongoing Hamas war

Study debunks Gaza genocide claims against Israel in ongoing Hamas war

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

FIRST ON FOX: A new study disputes claims that Israel committed genocide in Gaza following Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023 massacre, arguing that allegations of starvation, indiscriminate bombing and deliberate civilian killings lack verifiable evidence.

The report by researchers from the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University, “Debunking the Genocide Allegations: A Reexamination of the Israel-Hamas War” (2023-2025), contends that the genocide narrative has been driven by faulty data, uncritical sourcing and a humanitarian system vulnerable to manipulation.

A key element of the genocide accusations is the claim that Israel deliberately starved Gaza’s population. The study argues that “claims of starvation prior to March 2, 2025, were based on erroneous data, circular citations, and a failure to critically review sources.” While U.N. officials and rights groups maintained that 500 trucks a day were needed to prevent famine, prewar U.N. figures show Gaza averaged 292 daily in 2022 — only 73 of them carrying food.

UN EXPERT REPEATS ISRAEL ‘GENOCIDE’ CLAIMS AFTER US CALLS FOR HER REMOVAL

“That was completely adequate to meet demand,” report co-author Danny Orbach, a military historian from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, told Fox News Digital.

The study says Israel regularly surpassed the food supply needed during the war, averaging more than 100 trucks a day through March 2025. During a ceasefire-for-hostage deal, that number climbed to about 600 daily.

“The idea that Hamas didn’t seize aid is absurd,” Orbach said. “In every conflict, armed groups take the bulk of humanitarian supplies. We have documents and testimonies proving Hamas did so.”

The report argues that genocide allegations spread through what Orbach called an “inverted funnel of information.” Journalists and aid workers in Gaza often depended on Hamas-linked translators and fixers, whose accounts filtered into U.N. reports, mainstream media and online platforms.

“The average Westerner sees dozens of reports about Israeli crimes and assumes they must be true. But they all trace back to a handful of Hamas-affiliated sources,” Orbach said.

    Attacks on Israel

The second factor is “humanitarian bias” — the tendency to exaggerate conditions to prompt action. “Organizations warn of famine before it happens, relying on dubious facts to change reality. Questioning becomes an immoral act,” Orbach said.

The genocide allegation also rests on claims that Israel intentionally targeted civilians, but the study acknowledges civilian deaths while finding no evidence of a systematic policy of massacre.

Orbach cited BBC data showing that between May 2024 and January 2025, 550 people were killed in designated safe zones—just 2.1% to 3.5% of total casualties, even though half of Gaza’s population was concentrated there for much of the period.

ISRAEL TURNS TABLES ON UN OFFICIAL CLAIMING ‘GENOCIDE’ IN GAZA WITH BASIC QUESTIONS

“That indicates the zones were relatively safe, despite Hamas using them to launch rockets,” Orbach stated.

The report notes that context is crucial, stating that Hamas deliberately positioned itself in civilian areas, used human shields and blocked evacuations to increase civilian casualties and international condemnation of Israel.

“Hamas exposes its own people to danger intentionally so Israel will be blamed,” Orbach said.

While critics have accused the Israeli air force of indiscriminate bombing, the study finds that strikes generally targeted military objectives, though civilian casualties were inevitable.

“The IDF is the first army in history to issue focused warnings, deliver large-scale aid into enemy territory, and sacrifice surprise to protect civilians,” he said. “You cannot fight an enemy embedded in 500 kilometers of tunnels, dressed as civilians without massive destruction.”

The study pays particular attention to casualty figures published by the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, claiming they were manipulated to create misleading impressions of the demographics of the dead. It presents alternative statistical models suggesting combatant fatalities may have been underreported, distorting the civilian-to-combatant ratio.

The report says that genocide requires systematic intent to destroy a people — something it finds absent in Gaza. “You don’t see the hallmarks of genocidal warfare here,” Orbach said. “There are no campaigns of rape, frontal massacres or close-range executions. In other conflicts in the Middle East, dozens of such atrocities occurred in just a few hours of fighting.”

Orbach and his fellow authors conclude that allegations of genocide against Israel rely on politicized narratives, selective data and the exploitation of humanitarian discourse.

“Analyzing devastation or civilian deaths without understanding Hamas’ tactics is absurd,” he stated.

China displayed new weapons Wednesday at a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of World War II’s end.

Beijing sought to display its growing military power as Chinese President Xi Jinping was accompanied by North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Highlights from China’s arms exhibition included submarine drones, hypersonic missiles and laser weapons. Additionally, China showed off its fighter jets and bombers during the 90-minute display.

“The Chinese people’s rejuvenation cannot be blocked, and the noble goal of the peaceful development of human civilization must triumph,” Xi said at the end of his speech, according to the Associated Press.

    SUBMARINE DRONE

For many, the word “drone” is synonymous with flying in the air, but that’s not the case for the AJX002. The nuclear-capable unmanned vehicle that looks like a narrow submarine with a propeller measures up to 65 feet in length and could be used on surveillance and reconnaissance missions, according to the BBC. The outlet pointed out that the AJX002 wasn’t the only drone the Chinese were flaunting. Beijing also displayed its GJ-11 stealth attack drone.

Kim Jong Un’s daughter makes international debut as likely successor

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Kim Jong Un set foot in Beijing Tuesday for his first visit to China in years, accompanied by his daughter, Kim Ju Ae, also thought to be his successor, per South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS).

The young girl is believed to be around 12 or 13 and her debut appearance outside of her home country signals a possible role as North Korea’s heir-in-waiting, a parenting expert suspects. She was first publicly introduced in North Korea in 2022.

Dressed in a smart black suit, Kim Ju Ae followed her father as they were welcomed by Communist Party officials ahead of China’s military parade, marking the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II.

On Wednesday she may stand alongside Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and China’s President Xi Jinping.

A parenting expert warned that bringing Kim Ju Ae onto the global stage at a young age could carry consequences.

“She’s being shaped into a role, rather than being supported to figure out who she is as an individual and that pressure could have a huge impact on her mental health,” Kirsty Ketley told Fox News Digital.

“Even the most carefully groomed successor, like she could be, would struggle when thrust into leadership and even when later in life.

“It’s likely she’ll be under constant coaching, but that doesn’t remove the emotional weight of having your future decided for you at such a young age.”

North Korea’s famous father and daughter left Pyongyang on Monday for the international event, crossing into China by armored train to watch the country’s biggest-ever display of military power.

The event will last 70 minutes and include soldiers, tanks, anti-drone systems, and aircraft passing through Tiananmen Square as President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin look on.

So far, Kim Ju Ae has been seen at a missile launch in November 2022 as well as other public events in North Korea in June.

NIS has claimed Kim Ju Ae enjoys skiing, horse riding, and swimming, and is privately home-schooled in Pyongyang, per the Associated Press. She is also said to appear on postage stamps in North Korea.

Ketley said Kim’s daughter should be looking ahead to high school and testing boundaries in relatively safe environments.

“Kim Ju Ae doesn’t get those usual luxuries because her playground is now military parades and meetings with world leaders,” Ketley warned.

“While she may be carefully shielded and trained, internally she could well be experiencing anxiety, confusion, or even loneliness. Intense public pressure can stunt children’s emotional growth.”

Despite Tuesday’s global introduction, the public is not aware of Kim Ju Ae’s exact age. It’s thought she is the second of Kim Jong Un’s and his wife, Ri Sol-Ju’s, three kids because rhe dictator remains secretive about his family.

Retired NBA star Dennis Rodman inadvertently revealed the girl’s existence over a decade ago in an interview with The Guardian.

During a 2013 trip to Pyongyang, Rodman told reporters he had “held the baby Ju Ae,” calling Kim Jong Un a “good dad.”

“If I were advising Kim Jong Un, I’d urge him to balance his daughter’s exposure to power with opportunities for normality, including friendships, play and chances to fail, which are the building blocks of resilience,” said Ketley.

France reminds ‘major powers’ that Greenland is ‘not for sale’ in Arctic visit

A top French official condemned the “brutalization” of the world by “major powers” in his trip to Greenland over the weekend in an apparent jab at President Donald Trump and his ambitions in the Arctic.

In comments made by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot from the capital of Nuuk, he said on Sunday that his visit was a show of “solidarity” and reminded international superpowers that Greenland “is not up for grabs” or “for sale.”

“The certainty of peace, prosperity and democracy are all being called into question by the resurgence of new empires that would like to replace the logic of cooperation with the logic of coercion,” Barrot said. “This brutalization of the world can be seen even in the Artic.”

Barrot, who visited a French military ship docked in Nuuk, also confirmed that French officials will return to Greenland in the fall to begin ironing out a new critical minerals deal struck in May when Nuuk granted a Danish-French consortium a 30-mining deal for the extraction of anorthosite for aluminum production.

While Barrot directly called out Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine, he did not mention Trump or list the U.S. as a major threat to the European territory. Though his comments came just three days after Denmark summoned the U.S.’s chief envoy after reports claimed people close to the president were allegedly running covert influence operations in Greenland.

Trump has faced widespread condemnation over his ambitions in Greenland – which is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark – and has refused to rule out military intervention to “acquire” the Arctic nation, which he argues is strategically important for security reasons.

FROM GAZA TO GREENLAND, MACRON BREAKS WITH TRUMP ON GLOBAL FLASHPOINTS

“The greatness of a nation cannot be rebuilt on the servitude of its neighbors or allies,” Barrot said. “The greatness of a nation is measured by its contribution to the freedom of the world.”

France, in particular, has come to the Arctic island’s defense, with French President Emmanuel Macron traveling to Greenland in June where he criticized Trump’s threats and cemented not only Paris’, but Europe’s, determination that the island’s “territorial integrity must be respected.”

Despite the international push back, Trump appears undeterred in his desire to “acquire” Greenland and according to a senior administration official, “The President believes Greenland is a strategically important location, and is confident Greenlanders would be better served if protected by the United States from modern threats in the Arctic region.

“President Trump is committed to establishing long-term peace at home and abroad,” the official added.

Barrot said his “visit sends a message: Greenland and Denmark are not alone – Europe and France stand by their side today and tomorrow.

“Greenland is an Arctic territory, it is a European territory. We belong to the same family,” he added.

‘Father Ted’ creator arrested at Heathrow for X posts on transgenderism

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The co-creator of the U.K. sitcom “Father Ted” was arrested at London Heathrow Airport on Monday allegedly over several social media posts criticizing transgender activists.

Graham Linehan recounted the ordeal on his Substack, saying there were signs of something strange happening before he landed in London.

According to the former comedy writer, a gate agent in the U.S. said he did not have a seat on his flight back home and needed to be issued a new ticket – something he didn’t think much of at the time. However, since the arrest, Linehan wrote on Substack that he believes he was flagged because “someone, somewhere, probably wearing unconvincing make-up” made a call.

When he got off the plane at Heathrow, Linehan was met by five armed officers, who told him he was being arrested over three posts on X.

“In a country where pedophiles escape sentencing, where knife crime is out of control, where women are assaulted and harassed every time they gather to speak, the state had mobilized five armed officers to arrest a comedy writer for this tweet (and no, I promise you, I am not making this up),” Linehan wrote.

In one of the posts, Linehan wrote that “if a trans-identified male is in a female-only space, he is committing a violent, abusive act.” He then said those encountering such a scenario should make a scene, call police or even “punch” the offender.

He said officers questioned him about the post, and he explained it was a serious point expressed with humor.

London’s Metropolitan Police would not confirm the identity of the suspect involved in the incident. However, in response to a Fox News Digital inquiry about Linehan, a police spokesperson said that a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of inciting violence “in relation to posts on X.” Other reports on the arrest have connected this statement to the incident involving Linehan.

Linehan said the only restriction on his bail was that he was banned from using X.

“I looked at the single bail condition: I am not to go on Twitter. That’s it. No threats, no speeches about the seriousness of my crimes – just a legal gag order designed to shut me up while I’m in the U.K., and a demand I face a further interview in October,” he wrote.

The former comedy writer added that the ordeal confirmed to him that “the U.K. has become a country that is hostile to freedom of speech, hostile to women, and far too accommodating to the demands of violent, entitled, abusive men who have turned the police into their personal goon squad.”

“Harry Potter” creator J.K. Rowling, who has also been an outspoken critic of trans activism, slammed the arrest, writing “What the f— has the U.K. become? This is totalitarianism. Utterly deplorable.”

Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe said, “Linehan today, you tomorrow. Make your objections known now.”

“Britain is now a total laughingstock – a country where we arrest the authors of light comedies and interrogate them about their tweets. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so serious,” Conservative Party MP Neil O’Brien wrote on X after the arrest.

Additionally, conservative activist Robby Starbuck slammed the U.K., saying the country has “no free speech” and that “the feelings of transgenders [and] migrants come before the rights of everyone else.”

The Free Speech Union, an organization dedicated to the defense of freedom of expression, also condemned the arrest and vowed to support Linehan.

“We do not believe Graham’s arrest or the bail conditions imposed were lawful. We will be backing him all the way in his fight against these preposterous allegations and the disproportionate response from the police,” the organization wrote on X.

Lord Toby Young of Acton confirmed to Fox News Digital that the Free Speech Union would be paying for Linehan’s legal team.

“The over-zealous policing of social media posts by the British police is turning the country into an international laughingstock,” Young told Fox News Digital. “It’s particularly egregious, given that the police only respond to one in five shoplifting offenses and 75% of burglaries went unsolved last year. They are policing our tweets at the expense of policing our streets.”
